Cloud Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Analyze and document findings related to cloud, email, endpoint, and security monitoring.

• Produce risk assessments, classify severity, perform impact analyses, and recommend remediation actions.

• Maintain documentation of findings within ticketing systems, reports, or other designated platforms.

• Triage, investigate, and classify security alerts across cloud and security platforms.

• Record analysis of investigations, containment or mitigation actions, escalation details, and final disposition of alerts.

• Secure AI/ML workloads across training pipelines, data storage, and inference endpoints.

• Monitor AI service usage, including third-party AI APIs, for anomalies, misuse, or unauthorized access.

• Collaborate with engineering teams on the secure deployment of AI services.

• Contribute to the development of responsible and secure AI governance and policies.

• Conduct reviews of secure configurations across cloud environments.

• Perform IAM assessments and analyze findings from Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM).

• Document results of posture assessments and suggest improvements.

• Support ongoing monitoring and tuning of cloud security controls.

• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts for security and enhance workflows.

• Create automation artifacts in Python and document their ongoing usage and maintenance.

• Build cloud security infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.

• Prepare regular operational reports on cloud security, covering alert trends, remediation progress, posture improvements, and tool optimization.

• Provide concise updates on status to stakeholders.

• Assist in the investigation and response to cloud security incidents.

• Contribute to incident reports, investigation summaries, timelines, technical analyses, root-cause analyses, and recommendations for corrective actions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in Cloud Security or Security Operations.

• Hands-on experience with security services in AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.

• Strong understanding of IAM, network security, and cloud-native security controls.

• Experience with CSPM tools and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platforms, such as Crowdstrike.

• Familiar with SIEM tools and incident response processes.

• Practical experience with identity-aware access solutions like Teleport (or similar platforms) for secure access to infrastructure and services.

• Proficient in scripting languages, particularly Python.

• Foundational knowledge of securing AI/ML workloads in cloud environments, including model access control, API security, and data protection.

• Relevant certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, CCSP, or CISSP.

• Experience with automation, Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) platforms, or DevSecOps practices.

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2.

• Understanding of email security protocols, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
