Cloud Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Enhance the security framework of Playtech and its affiliated entities.

• Ensure the appropriate security architecture and functionality of cloud environments in Azure or GCP, focusing on IaaS and PaaS.

• Collaborate with product teams to facilitate and evaluate secure cloud environments.

• Manage the governance and monitoring of cloud security.

• Sustain a Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solution.

• Act as a Google Cloud subject-matter expert, working alongside DevOps, IT, development, and GRC teams.

• Support and uphold cloud-native security measures.

• Perform security assessments for cloud environments.

• Create documentation outlining security recommendations and industry best practices.

• Identify vulnerabilities, gaps in controls, and suggest remediation strategies.

• Keep track of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and cloud security measures.

• Engage in investigations and responses to potential security breaches.

• Implement automation for tasks related to security.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable technical security position.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Azure Cloud or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) / Google Workspace.

• Comprehensive knowledge of CSPM and DSPM solutions.

• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, architectural best practices, managed services, common vulnerabilities, mitigations, and security best practices.

• Familiarity with contemporary application development methodologies, including infrastructure as code, CI/CD, containers, serverless, and code/artifact repositories; hands-on experience is a bonus.

• Extensive IT and enterprise architecture expertise, covering the TCP/IP stack, relevant protocols and technologies, firewalls, proxies, Windows/Linux server operating systems, web/database servers, and associated technologies.

• Basic scripting capabilities in Python/Shell.

• Fundamental understanding of AI concepts and practical experience in utilizing AI tools to enhance productivity, automation, and security workflows.

• Proficient spoken and written English skills.

• Ability to function effectively within an enterprise setting.

• Knowledge of AWS cloud is considered an additional advantage.

• Relevant security, systems, or networking certifications are also a plus.
