Cloud Operations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist in the daily operations and upkeep of cloud services across AWS, M365, data, and AI platforms.

• Aid in cloud migration projects and enhancements to infrastructure.

• Automate standard operational tasks, including instance management, monitoring, and reporting.

• Enhance cloud-based environments for improved scalability, performance, and reliability.

• Contribute to the secure and efficient operation of systems and networks.

• Support the management and optimization of database and data platform technologies.

• Collaborate with internal teams, leadership, external service providers, and distribution partners.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical and operational documentation.

• Provide on-call support as needed.

• Participate in the ongoing improvement of cloud infrastructure, automation processes, and DevOps practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Basic knowledge of DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, SDLC, industry trends, and technical solutions.

• Familiarity with technical infrastructure and the software development lifecycle.

• Exceptional documentation abilities.

• Proactive, solution-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision in a fast-paced technical setting.

• High level of attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and sound judgment skills.

• A university degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience.

• 1–3 years of IT experience in service operations and/or development projects.

• Experience with AWS or other leading cloud platforms.

• Solid understanding of network protocols, security, and best practices.

• Basic experience with Bash, Shell, and Python.

• Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks; familiarity with AI/ML workflows and services is a plus.

• Experience with AWS Lambda.

• Familiarity with GitHub, GitLab, or similar platforms.

• Basic experience with M365.

• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MSSQL.

• Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce is a plus.

• CompTIA, ITIL, AWS, or similar technology certifications are considered advantageous.

• Cisco CCNA certification is considered beneficial.

• Must have Permanent Residency or Citizenship of Canada.

• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is required.

• Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
