Cloud Operations Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with solutions architects and business stakeholders to identify, design, develop, and implement infrastructure engineering solutions for the WM platform.

• Oversee SaaS Kubernetes applications hosted on AWS.

• Address event-driven alerts and incidents promptly.

• Execute strategies to swiftly deploy new technologies.

• Manage and prioritize tickets submitted by the Client Services organization.

• Provide support and troubleshoot issues related to operating systems, applications, virtualization, and containerization.

• Assist in the development of automation and processes aimed at enhancing operational SLAs.

• Support production environments for customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in a cloud-based operations, engineering, or development role.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting large-scale Java applications.

• At least 3 years of experience in AWS-based environments.

• Experience in supporting OCI-based environments.

• Extensive experience applying Infrastructure as Code principles and technologies, particularly Terraform.

• A fundamental understanding of both Windows and Linux operating systems.

• Hands-on experience in managing and implementing Kubernetes solutions.

• Experience with automation tools such as Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible, Python, or similar technologies.

• Practical experience in collecting performance data, analyzing, troubleshooting, and optimizing.

• Proficiency in application containers, including IIS and Tomcat.

• Comprehensive troubleshooting experience across the full stack.

• Familiarity with SCM tools, including Git.

• Multi-cloud experience, with a focus on AWS and OCI support.

• Experience in managing Java applications.

• Hands-on experience with Dynatrace.

• Experience managing Helm-templated Kubernetes environments.

• Understanding of microservice architectures.

• Knowledge of application protocols and messaging technologies such as TCP/IP, HTTP, SOAP, SMTP, RESTful APIs, XML/JSON, JDBC, and JMS/MQ.

• Exposure to application threading and concurrency challenges.

• Experience troubleshooting environment-related issues such as response times, connectivity, authentication, authorization, and configuration.

• Background in hosted global datacenter environments supporting geographically dispersed systems.
