Cloud Operations Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee all elements of 11:11’s cloud computing systems.

• Enhance, deploy, and sustain cloud-centered systems.

• Execute capacity planning, cluster provisioning, fleet management, alert monitoring, and escalations.

• Assume ownership and accountability for designated cloud computing system duties.

• Serve as an escalation engineer for customer issues.

• Engage in the engineering on-call rotation during after-hours.

• Provide escalation assistance to Level I Cloud Operations Engineers.

• Manage compute capacity for clusters, including hosts, CPU, and memory.

• Create, monitor, and present KPIs related to cloud system capacity, such as CPU, memory, and storage.

• Respond to escalated customer support tickets in an accurate, timely, and professional manner.

• Adhere to best practices in cloud computing systems management.

• Provide exceptional customer service while fostering professional relationships.

• Collaborate positively with team members in line with the company’s Code of Business Ethics and Company Values.

• Manage company data and information in accordance with data handling agreements, procedures, and policies.

• Review and comply with company policies, data privacy practices, compliance training, and policy acknowledgments.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience is required.

• A minimum of 4 years of recent experience as a technical, hands-on enterprise VMware administrator.

• VMware VCP or VCAP certification is preferred.

• In-depth knowledge and experience with VMware management tools, including vCenter, vCloud Director, VMware Configuration Manager, and NSX is preferred.

• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Veeam and Zerto is preferred.

• Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure services like BaaS, IaaS, and DRaaS.

• Experience in global data center environments.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

• Ability to satisfactorily perform each essential function.

• Must manage company data and information in accordance with company data handling agreements, work procedures, and policies.
