Cloud Operations Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee all facets of 11:11’s cloud computing systems.

• Optimize, implement, and sustain cloud-based infrastructures.

• Carry out capacity planning, cluster provisioning, fleet management, alert monitoring, and escalation procedures.

• Take ownership and accountability for designated cloud computing system responsibilities.

• Serve as an escalation engineer for customer-related issues.

• Participate in the engineering on-call rotation outside of regular hours.

• Provide escalation assistance to Level I Cloud Operations Engineers.

• Manage cluster compute capacity, which includes hosts, CPU, and memory resources.

• Develop, monitor, and report on KPIs related to cloud system capacity, covering CPU, memory, and storage metrics.

• Deliver accurate, prompt, and professional responses to escalated customer support inquiries.

• Adhere to 11:11 Systems' best practices for managing cloud computing systems.

• Ensure exceptional customer service while maintaining professional relationships.

• Collaborate positively with colleagues in alignment with the company’s Code of Business Ethics and Company Values.

• Manage company data and information in accordance with corporate agreements, procedures, and policies.

• Review and comply with company policies and guidelines, specifically regarding data privacy practices and compliance requirements.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Report directly to the Manager of Cloud Operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience is required.

• A minimum of 4 years of recent experience as a technical, hands-on enterprise VMware administrator.

• VMware VCP or VCAP certification is preferred.

• Extensive knowledge and experience with VMware management tools, including vCenter, vCloud Director, VMware Configuration Manager, and NSX is preferred.

• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Veeam and Zerto is preferred.

• Understanding of cloud-based infrastructure services, including BaaS, IaaS, and DRaaS.

• Experience in global data center environments is essential.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

• Capability to satisfactorily perform each essential function.

• Must adhere to company data handling agreements, operational procedures, policies, data privacy practices, annual compliance training certification, and policy acknowledgments.
