This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Oversee the configuration, installation, and continuous support of network infrastructure, which includes PaloAlto firewalls, Cisco VPN Concentrators, Cisco CSR devices, and cloud networking in AWS and Azure.
• Design, implement, and provide support for network components within cloud environments.
• Monitor network operations, recognize potential issues, and execute corrective measures.
• Plan implementation specifics and employ project management skills to ensure efficient implementations.
• Enforce cloud security protocols and adhere to cloud security best practices.
• Install network devices and services, such as routers, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, and Quality of Service (QoS).
• Conduct network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
• Manage, deploy, and troubleshoot firewalls, routers, VPN concentrators, and Network Access Control within cloud platforms.
• Monitor system performance and guarantee availability and reliability.
• Oversee system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
• Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues efficiently.
• BS degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in networking.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a public trust requiring U.S. Citizenship.
• Practical experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.
• Experience with Cisco and PaloAlto firewalls in cloud or on-premises settings.
• Advanced-level expertise in at least two of the following: EIGRP, MPLS, BGP, and OSPF.
• Proficient technical knowledge of TCP/IP networks and IEEE 802.1 standards.
• Familiarity with MPLS, Frame Relay, ATM, ISDN, and relevant network topologies.
• Working knowledge of DoD STIGs and Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM).
• Experience with Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Background in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco IPsec (AES 256), firewalls, IPS, route-maps, and Network Access Control Lists (NACLs).
• Expert understanding of TCP/IP network technologies, including DNS, DHCP, TFTP, NAT, and SSL.
• Possession of AWS Advanced Networking Certificate, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, and CCNP or higher is preferred, but not mandatory.
