Cloud & Infrastructure Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain a secure and scalable Windows Server infrastructure in both on-premises and cloud settings.

• Administer and enhance Remote Desktop Services deployments, including Azure Virtual Desktop configurations.

• Oversee and manage Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL database instances, focusing on performance tuning, backups, and system patching.

• Engage in the upgrades and transitions of customer environments to incorporate newer technologies.

• Provision, secure, and sustain AWS infrastructure utilizing services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.

• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized workloads utilizing Docker and Kubernetes/ECS.

• Contribute to and assist in maintaining CI/CD deployment pipelines for application environments.

• Provide support for production dealer software infrastructure, ensuring uptime, performance, and reliability.

• Standardize monitoring, automation, and deployment practices across both Azure and AWS environments.

• Implement centralized monitoring and logging solutions, automated alerts, and performance audits.

• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency enhancements.

• Develop and enforce security best practices across on-premises, Azure, and AWS environments.

• Evaluate vulnerabilities and implement cybersecurity initiatives.

• Assist in patch management, system updates, and endpoint protection.

• Offer escalation support for production infrastructure challenges.

• Collaborate with development teams to enhance reliability and performance.

• Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting methodologies.

• Mentor and coach team members while facilitating knowledge transfer and cross-training.

• Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.

• Participate in on-call rotations, after-hours tasks, and incident response efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a Windows support or administration capacity.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Required experience with Windows Remote Desktop Services.

• Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop is a plus.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including Entra ID, Networking, DevOps, and Security, is advantageous.

• Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL in production settings.

• Proficiency in Windows Server OS, Active Directory, and Group Policy.

• Familiarity with VMware or Hyper-V virtualization technologies.

• Experience with core AWS services, such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch, in a production environment.

• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes is beneficial.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions is an asset.

• Proficient in PowerShell scripting and automation.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Microsoft Azure certification, such as AZ-140, is an asset.

• AWS certification, such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate or Solutions Architect – Associate, is a plus.
