This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +9 more states.
• Oversee the patching, updates, and lifecycle management for Azure virtual machines and cloud workloads.
• Assist in maintaining the remaining on-premises infrastructure as it transitions to cloud solutions.
• Ensure operational documentation, standards, and procedures are up to date.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to address infrastructure challenges.
• Serve as an escalation point for intricate infrastructure issues.
• Diagnose problems related to cloud, server, networking, identity, and application connectivity.
• Engage in root cause analysis, major incident response, and problem management activities.
• Support the administration of Microsoft Entra ID and identity services.
• Aid in implementing Conditional Access, MFA, RBAC, vulnerability management, and platform hardening measures.
• Take part in DevSecOps practices, including scanning pipelines and collaborating with Development on shift-left strategies.
• Work alongside Infrastructure, Security, Development, and business stakeholders for project execution and ongoing enhancements.
• Utilize Jira and Azure DevOps for tracking tasks and documenting activities.
• Create and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation solutions.
• Harness Claude and Azure AI capabilities to enhance troubleshooting, documentation, and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to initiatives focused on infrastructure modernization and cloud optimization.
• 3–5 years of experience in infrastructure, systems administration, or cloud operations.
• Practical experience managing Microsoft Azure environments.
• Background in supporting Windows Server environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
• Experience working within a collaborative Cloud Operations or DevSecOps team.
• Competence in using work management and collaboration tools like Jira.
• Willingness to be available for occasional scheduled maintenance and after-hours response during major incidents or critical outages.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of networking, identity, and security principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification is advantageous.
