Cloud Engineer – Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Ensure the accessibility, dependability, performance, and security of production environments.

• Continuously enhance infrastructure, automation, observability, and deployment methodologies.

• Prevent, respond to, and investigate incidents, including conducting root-cause analysis and formulating action plans.

• Collaborate with Engineering teams to advance application architecture, resilience, and operability.

• Minimize manual tasks and toil through automation, Infrastructure as Code, and pipelines.

• Support capacity planning, cost management, operational risk management, and the continuity of cloud environments.

• Identify recurring operational challenges and convert them into automation and structural enhancements.

• Operate independently in critical production settings, troubleshoot issues, lead incident responses, and make technical decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level experience with a strong proficiency in AWS.

• AWS: extensive experience in production and highly available environments.

• Practical knowledge of EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, VPCs, subnets, security groups, route tables, NAT Gateways, and load balancers.

• Infrastructure as Code: experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.

• Solid foundation in Linux, networking, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, and connectivity troubleshooting.

• Experience with containers, Docker, and orchestrated environments.

• CI/CD: familiarity with pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions.

• Knowledge of deployment strategies including Blue/Green, Canary, and rollback.

• Experience with observability tools, encompassing metrics, logs, tracing, dashboards, and alerts.

• Understanding of infrastructure security, IAM, and access management.

• Availability to participate in on-call rotations once a month on Saturday.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience.
