Cloud Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Manage BAU tickets, service requests, incidents, and operational duties.

• Conduct basic administration and troubleshooting of AWS services and Amazon EC2 instances.

• Provide support for applications and workloads running on Amazon EKS.

• Execute basic Kubernetes troubleshooting involving Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Logs, and elementary networking issues.

• Assist in application deployments utilizing Helm Charts.

• Aid in the installation, renewal, and basic troubleshooting of SSL/TLS certificates.

• Support and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins for application building and deployment tasks.

• Utilize Ansible for standard configuration management and automation purposes.

• Provide assistance with AWS Security Groups and troubleshoot basic inbound and outbound rules.

• Perform patching on Linux and Windows Servers.

• Conduct initial troubleshooting for issues related to Linux and Windows operating systems.

• Facilitate standard infrastructure modifications through existing Terraform code.

• Review Terraform plans and resolve common deployment issues related to Terraform.

• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, servers, Kubernetes, application deployments, CI/CD pipelines, network connectivity, and SSL certificates.

• Adhere to established SOPs, runbooks, change processes, and operational protocols.

• Participate in on-call support and respond to production alerts and incidents.

• Conduct initial incident analysis and escalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams as needed.

• Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and operational changes within tickets.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid foundational knowledge of cloud infrastructure, DevOps tools, Linux/Windows administration, troubleshooting, and production support.

• Strong understanding of AWS, Amazon EC2, Amazon EKS, RDS, Kubernetes, Helm, SSL/TLS certificates, CI/CD, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, AWS Security Groups, Linux Administration, Windows Server Administration, Linux & Windows Patching, Basic Networking, Infrastructure Troubleshooting, Application Deployment Troubleshooting, and Production Support / On-Call Support.

• Capability to independently manage routine operational activities and standard BAU tickets using existing documentation, SOPs, Terraform modules, pipelines, Helm charts, and automation.

• Ability to gather necessary information and escalate complex issues to the appropriate L2/L3 engineers.

• Willingness to participate in on-call support and respond to production alerts/incidents.
