This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and document scalable data solutions for both new and existing systems.
• Conduct unit and integration testing to fulfill functional and stakeholder requirements.
• Offer expert technical advice on solution architecture, planning, and cost estimation.
• Lead project initiatives and propel development efforts forward.
• Ensure that requirements, milestones, and deadlines are achieved.
• Collaborate with end-user analysts to define, refine, and enhance data warehouse requirements.
• Work alongside business analysts to validate test plans, test cases, and overall solution quality.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance data quality, and reinforce workflow automation.
• Assist CMS in fighting fraud, waste, and abuse within healthcare programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Over 8 years of practical experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Proficient in Python, shell scripting, SQL, and JavaScript.
• Experience in constructing decoupled, scalable data pipelines.
• Strong skills in data warehousing; experience with Snowflake is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD across development, testing, and production environments.
• Familiarity with Git-based repositories and AWS deployment pipelines, including Bitbucket, CodeCommit, and GitHub.
• Experience designing and implementing job scheduling and orchestration workflows.
• Understanding of data quality principles, encompassing audit, balance, and control.
• Knowledge of data structures, data types, and built-in database functions.
• Experience in bulk file ingestion and processing.
• Data governance experience, including access controls and role-based security.
• Understanding of AWS IAM roles and their integration with AWS native services.
• Experience with AWS data services and event-driven automation, such as SQS, Lambda, and triggers.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum settings.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Capability to quickly learn new technologies and eliminate obstacles with minimal guidance.
• Experience with healthcare claims is preferred.
• Experience with AI solutions for detecting data or processing defects is a plus.
• Familiarity with Notebooks like Jupyter and Snowflake is desired.
• Knowledge of partitions and clustering is a plus.
• Experience in data modeling and source-to-target mappings is desired.
• Familiarity with developing serverless architectures and microservices is preferred.
• Knowledge of Kimball and Inmon data warehouse methodologies is a plus.
• Strong skills in Linux and CLI, including bash, AWS CLI, and Snowflake, are desired.
• Experience with ETL tools is preferred.
