Tech Lead, Staff Software Engineer, Data Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Develop highly scalable features that integrate with numerous blockchains.

• Design and structure data models for optimal storage and retrieval, ensuring sub-second blockchain data query latency.

• Collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers, product managers, and customer-facing teams to create scalable data solutions.

• Grasp user requirements and convert them into scalable data products.

• Produce clear design documentation, communicate trade-offs, and foster cross-disciplinary alignment.

• Lead the scoping and execution of projects that affect multiple teams.

• Collaborate with stakeholders on product vision and technical roadmaps.

• Maintain system health and quality through operational reviews, testing strategies, and diligent monitoring.

• Develop and provide data services that analyze blockchain transaction activities at a petabyte scale.

• Mentor engineers and analysts to enhance team capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field.

• Over 5 years of practical experience in architecting scalable API development and distributed system architecture, guiding projects from conception to production deployment.

• Outstanding programming expertise in Python.

• Proficiency in SQL or SparkSQL.

• Experience with data storage solutions like BigQuery and Postgres.

• Background in building pipelines, data platforms, or ML/BI workflows from the ground up.

• Skilled in Airflow and DBT.

• Expertise in Dataflow, Spark, Kafka, and Flink.

• Ability to deploy and monitor infrastructure in public cloud platforms utilizing Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Datadog.

• Demonstrated capability to load, query, and transform large datasets.

• Experience in mentoring engineers or analysts.

• AI fluency; experience with LLMs or AI-driven workflows is a bonus.

• Capacity to work efficiently in a distributed, high-intensity, high-ownership environment.
