Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to customers on implementing cloud and hybrid hosting solutions for Mendix and related offerings, focusing on cost, performance, and security needs.

• Assist clients with the installation, configuration, operation, supervision, and troubleshooting of Mendix platform deployments.

• Support deployments in Kubernetes environments, including AWS EKS, Azure AKS, Rancher, and OpenShift.

• Facilitate deployments on AWS, Azure, and GCP hyperscalers, as well as on customer premises.

• Aid customers in the implementation and optimization of Mendix deployments within their existing CI/CD pipelines.

• Provide training on Mendix Cloud Architecture principles, along with deployment and integration options.

• Define and articulate highly automated hosting infrastructure from an architectural perspective.

• Implement and troubleshoot hosting infrastructure in an engineering capacity.

• Explore automation techniques for cloud infrastructure, deployments, and AI-driven infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience.

• Ideally, at least 2 years of experience working with modern cloud infrastructures.

• Extensive knowledge and practical experience in microservices architectures and containerized environments.

• Proven experience in architecting, building, and managing highly automated and containerized cloud infrastructures.

• Experience in designing, deploying, and maintaining Kubernetes-based architectures on both public and private cloud platforms.

• Proficient in database administration, specifically with Postgres, SQLServer, and Oracle.

• Experience with cloud databases and data lakes.

• Familiarity with authentication mechanisms such as AWS IAM and Azure Entra.

• Networking skills, including Ingress, reverse proxies, and enterprise-grade networks.

• Implementation and integration experience with CI/CD tools such as GIT/SVN, GitLab CI, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.

• Self-motivated and professional mindset with the ability to engage with customers effectively.

• Willingness to travel to client locations regularly.
