This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the development and implementation of a cloud strategy that aligns with the organization's long-term objectives.

• Design and manage intricate multi-cloud architectures that integrate various technologies and services.

• Establish and uphold architectural standards and best practices.

• Collaborate with executive leadership and stakeholders to create cloud strategy roadmaps and business cases.

• Conduct risk assessments and devise mitigation strategies for security, compliance, and operational risks.

• Assess and integrate emerging cloud technologies.

• Propel continuous improvement by utilizing performance data, industry trends, and feedback from stakeholders.

• Oversee large-scale cloud transformation projects to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.

• Represent Hyland at industry forums and conferences.

• Provide expert consulting and best-practice advice to internal stakeholders.

• Mentor, coach, train, and develop team members.

• Define the technical direction, system architecture, software architecture, and non-functional requirements.

• Lead technical designs and supervise the implementation of designs, codebases, and system development.

• Refine program backlogs in collaboration with product management by reviewing business cases, estimating work, defining architectural enablers, and addressing implementation risks.

• Work with technical and architectural leadership to ensure designs align with enterprise architecture and regulations.

• Own the architectural roadmap and contribute to the product roadmap.

• Function as a trusted advisor on backlog refinement, planning, estimation, solution demonstrations, and software reviews.

• Develop prototypes to assess and showcase architectural concepts and new technologies.

• Share best practices and market trends through knowledge sharing and coaching.

• Adhere to privacy and data security policies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• Over 3 years of experience as a Cloud Architect.

• Proficiency in two or more general-purpose programming languages.

• In-depth understanding of public cloud services, platforms, provisioning, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Expertise in CI/CD software delivery pipelines and build environments.

• Solution Architect Associate certification or equivalent.

• Exceptional software modeling skills across information, domain, process, state, security, logical, and physical architectural views.

• Advanced experience in cloud hosting design, design patterns, architecture patterns, and quality attributes.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Capability to deliver presentations to cross-functional stakeholders, including executive leadership.

• Strong collaboration, ownership, accountability, and trust-building abilities.

• Up to 10% travel may be required.

• Experience in leading enterprise-wide cloud transformation initiatives, including migration, modernization, and multi-cloud strategy execution.

• Proven track record of influencing cloud architecture standards and practices at an industry level.

• Advanced certification in one or more public cloud platforms is preferred.

• Experience in mentoring and developing cloud engineering talent.

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience.

• Extensive experience with at least one major public cloud provider, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Significant experience with infrastructure-as-code technologies, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Familiarity with operating software workloads in production environments.

• Experience in providing platform services for internal teams.

• Proficiency in continuous software delivery.

• Understanding of build environments and delivery pipelines.

• Strong organizational and time management capabilities.

• Ability to coach, mentor, and provide prompt feedback.
