Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Provision and oversee hands-on Azure infrastructure.

• Create, test, and maintain Terraform modules, ensuring peer reviews and CI validation.

• Manage the Azure resource hierarchy and implement Azure RBAC.

• Configure and sustain Azure PaaS services, including App Service, AKS, Container Apps, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Storage, and Key Vault.

• Implement private endpoints and VNet-integrated connectivity for PaaS workloads.

• Develop CI/CD pipelines and manage service connections utilizing Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.

• Apply cloud security principles by managing identities, service principals, Key Vault integration, and Azure Policy.

• Collaborate with multiple workstream teams within a multi-vendor program.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in cloud engineering, specifically with hands-on Azure infrastructure provisioning.

• Demonstrated Terraform expertise, including module authoring, testing, and maintenance within a team setting, complemented by peer review and CI validation.

• Proficient understanding of Azure resource hierarchy (management groups, subscriptions, resource groups) and Azure RBAC.

• Practical experience with Azure PaaS services such as App Service, AKS, Container Apps, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Storage, and Key Vault.

• Familiarity with implementing private endpoints and VNet-integrated connectivity for PaaS workloads.

• Experience in CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions, including pipeline creation and service-connection management.

• Knowledge of cloud security fundamentals, covering managed identities, service principals, Key Vault integration, and Azure Policy.

• Strong written communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple workstream teams in a multi-vendor program.

• Resilience, emotional intelligence, and a focus on agile delivery.

• In-depth understanding of the distinction between coding and engineering.

• Proficient in oral English.

• Proficient in Spanish.

• Familiarity with cloud-native foundations or AI coding assistants is preferred.
