Closing Operations Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional customer service via phone, email, SMS, and chat throughout the closing process.

• Oversee a real estate closing pipeline in collaboration with Operations teams to ensure accurate and timely closings.

• Cultivate relationships with brokerages and agents, and engage in client meetings as necessary.

• Analyze multi-state purchase contracts for compliance with contractual, legal, and regulatory standards.

• Familiarize yourself with local market expectations, customs, and practices.

• Identify title issues and requirements, guiding parties toward resolution.

• Calculate and prepare closing fees along with precise disbursements.

• Collaborate with lenders to reconcile Closing Disclosures and assemble loan and closing document packages.

• Work cross-functionally with examination, curative, funding, and post-closing teams.

• Adapt to changing workflows and enhancements in the platform.

• Provide constructive feedback to product and engineering teams.

• Navigate multiple applications while maintaining service standards and performance metrics in Zillow’s Cloud HQ environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in closing operations, real estate transactions, mortgage operations, or a similar high-volume, documentation-intensive environment.

• Proven experience in title and escrow closing, preferably with purchase transactions across various states.

• Comfortable establishing service standards and key performance indicators.

• Strong focus on customer service.

• Proficient in utilizing technology and workflow tools for managing high-volume phone and email communications.

• Ability to prioritize conflicting deadlines and handle multiple transactions simultaneously.

• Clear and effective communication skills.

• Keen attention to detail and capability to learn and adhere to county, state, and regulatory requirements.

• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to collaborate with technical teams on discovery, testing, and feedback.

• Team-oriented and cooperative across different functions.

• Willingness to obtain state escrow licensing if required.

• Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish, are advantageous.
