Close Protection Officer, Covert Surveillance Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Deliver close protection services to principals during their daily activities, travel, events, and residential transitions.

• Perform both dynamic and formal risk assessments.

• Observe surroundings for potential threats and implement suitable mitigation strategies.

• Assist in secure transportation and movement logistics.

• Maintain a vigilant, professional, and discreet presence.

• Collaborate effectively with family members, household staff, and broader security teams.

• React appropriately to emergencies, incidents, and evolving threat situations.

• Keep precise operational records, reports, and documentation.

• Offer practical personal security advice to principals as needed.

• Adhere to strict confidentiality at all times.

• Travel frequently across the UK and occasionally require overnight stays.

• Work in a shift rotation pattern and be ready to deploy at short notice based on operational demands.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least three years of Close Protection experience.

• Minimum of two years of experience supporting ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals or families.

• Strong knowledge of threat assessment, protective security, and emergency response protocols.

• Capacity to remain calm, composed, and professional in high-pressure scenarios.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.

• Willingness to work shifts, travel, and stay away from home as needed.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Outstanding references and a solid professional reputation.

• Experience in covert surveillance operations within military or law enforcement contexts is preferred.

• Valid SIA Close Protection Licence.

• Proof of SIA Close Protection Top-Up/Refresher Training, if applicable.

• Enhanced DBS certificate and any necessary safeguarding documentation for working in environments where children may be present.

• Valid medical qualification, such as FREC 3, FPOS, or an equivalent certification.

• Full UK driving licence with a clean driving history and consent for DVLA checks.

• Verification of all licences, certifications, and eligibility documentation prior to engagement.
