This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver clinical customer service, utilization management assistance, and operational support to members, families, providers, and internal teams.
• Process authorization requests and perform clinical telephonic assessments.
• Provide support for member crisis situations.
• Coordinate referrals to behavioral health, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), and community resources.
• Foster care transitions and assist with discharge planning.
• Address routine questions and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Utilize behavioral health expertise in assessment, crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, utilization review, and care recommendations.
• Coordinate care among members, families, providers, and physician consultants.
• Facilitate service access and educate members regarding their benefits and available resources.
• Ensure appropriate treatment and authorization results.
• Collaborate with clinical and customer service teams.
• Engage in professional development, attend meetings, and participate in special projects.
• Support teammates in both routine and urgent situations.
• Maintain precise and timely clinical documentation in accordance with policies, regulations, accreditation standards, and contractual guidelines.
• Conduct follow-up outreach with members and providers.
• Keep professional competency through ongoing education and renewal of necessary licensure/certification.
• Work overnight from Wednesday to Saturday supporting a 24/7/365 call center, with potential holiday shifts.
• Active, unrestricted independent license issued by a U.S. state or territory as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Professional Counselor, Clinical Psychologist, or Registered Nurse.
• A minimum of two years of direct clinical care experience with patients in facility-based and/or outpatient psychiatric or chemical dependency treatment.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and capability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent clinical skills.
• Proficient computer and keyboarding skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Word.
• Ability to document while concurrently gathering information over the phone.
• Capability to pass necessary background checks and a 10-Panel Drug Screen, including tests for marijuana.
• Must undergo a Public Trust background investigation and achieve favorable adjudication.
• U.S. citizenship for a minimum of five years.
• Current state license or certification to practice as a mental health practitioner in the applicable state(s), or an appropriate recognized national certification if state licensing is unavailable.
• Authority to practice independently without state-mandated clinical supervision.
• Ability to work efficiently in a remote environment.
• High-speed internet connection with at least 20 Mbps download, 5 Mbps upload, and a maximum latency of 100 ms.
• Hardwired internet connection required.
