This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Deliver technical, clinical, and programming support, mainly assisting 1–2 Territory Managers.
• Provide after-hours call support and activities for Territory Managers.
• Integrate into accounts, fostering trust and relationships while establishing rapport with customers.
• Execute complex programming and case support tasks.
• Collaborate with Territory Managers to enhance their selling time.
• Conduct PCP work and educational in-services as instructed.
• Reach out to, visit, and engage clients and prospective clients about Abbott products.
• Offer medical professionals sales support, product information, training, staff education, in-services, and technical troubleshooting.
• Cultivate and maintain extensive knowledge of assigned accounts and customers, including competitor activities.
• Assess and devise sales strategies for capital equipment opportunities.
• Gather and analyze data on new and existing products while monitoring competitor sales, pricing, and offerings.
• Provide feedback to providers within and outside of operating-room settings regarding instructions for using implantable devices.
• Participate in trade shows and conferences as required.
• Identify training and in-service needs for customers to enhance usage, comfort, and understanding of Abbott Chronic Pain Therapies.
• Adhere to FDA regulations, regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and assigned tasks.
• Offer sales support, clinical in-services, training, and guidance to current or prospective customers.
• Maintain positive communication and collaboration with employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
• Travel 25% within or outside the assigned region.
• Carry out other related duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in biomedical engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 1–2 years of work experience, preferably working with patients in a clinical setting.
• Ability to communicate, comprehend, and educate on clinical data within the Chronic Pain Therapies domain.
• Strong clinical skills.
• Exceptional organizational, time management, and prioritization capabilities.
• Outstanding interpersonal verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively at various levels and to large audiences.
• Capacity to build robust working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Flexibility to work an unpredictable schedule that may change on short notice due to operating room schedule alterations or delays.
• Familiarity with tight deadlines and managing multiple tasks.
• Strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to thrive in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
• Capability to work both as part of a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Skill in leveraging and/or engaging others to achieve project goals.
• Proficiency in multitasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to engage customers in selling discussions as necessary and as directed by the Territory Manager.
• Experience in patient interaction within a healthcare-related setting is preferred.
• Background in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model is preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience with Abbott, in a similar spinal cord stimulation role, or with another implantable medical device company is preferred.
