This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive sales growth and Karius test volume within a designated regional area by developing new hospital partnerships and enhancing existing hospital business.
• Present Karius’ innovative next-generation sequencing diagnostic technology to hospital decision-makers involved in selecting new diagnostic tests.
• Establish, manage, and cultivate relationships with hospital and health-system accounts.
• Prioritize and segment accounts to optimize opportunities and growth potential.
• Showcase product features and advantages using consultative sales techniques, which include qualifying leads, assessing needs, facilitating evaluations, and closing sales.
• Oversee initial evaluations to encourage early adoption and drive higher utilization rates.
• Act as a subject matter expert on the science, technology, benefits, and value of the Karius test.
• Foster relationships, educate stakeholders, achieve consensus, and demonstrate return on investment (ROI) for accounts.
• Secure new contracts and renew existing partner agreements.
• Collaborate with Inside Sales, Customer Success, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Sales, and Product leadership teams.
• Assist in partner interactions and follow up with Clinical/Medical Affairs teams and Medical Science Liaisons, both remotely and in-person.
• Onboard accounts, address concerns and risks, manage expectations, and monitor partner satisfaction with Customer Success.
• Identify and co-manage regional meetings, KOL panels, and local market initiatives alongside Marketing.
• Engage in sales meetings, training sessions, conventions, and industry trade shows.
• Complete Salesforce documentation, expense reports, speaker-program information, and other administrative tasks.
• Bachelor’s degree; an advanced degree or MBA is advantageous.
• 5 years of sales or business development experience in Life Sciences / Biotech, Medical Device, Diagnostic Equipment, and/or Pharmaceutical sectors.
• A valid driver's license.
• Proven success in introducing transformative, innovative products or services to physicians and hospitals that altered clinical practices prior to major peer-reviewed publications or guideline integrations.
• A strong network of established relationships within hospitals and health systems, including microbiology labs, send-out labs, physician groups, C-level executives, and clinical-function administrators.
• Strong vision and planning skills to expand the territory.
• Excellent business acumen, analytical abilities, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient in building relationships from C-level executives to physicians and lab directors, establishing credibility through expertise in the subject matter and industry.
• A demonstrated history of top sales performance and consistent achievement of sales goals.
• Experience in multi-level account management.
• An entrepreneurial mindset; adept at multitasking in a dynamic, fast-paced, and growth-oriented environment.
• Ability to prioritize, allocate resources, take responsibility, and deliver results.
• Strong presentation and negotiation abilities; skilled in facilitating discussions with both small and large groups.
• A personal code of ethics, integrity, confidentiality, and a talent for fostering trustworthy professional relationships.
