This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.
• Increase sales revenue and testing volume by developing new hospital partnerships and enhancing volume in current hospitals.
• Introduce Karius’s diagnostic technology by connecting with hospital stakeholders engaged in the implementation of new diagnostic tests.
• Work collaboratively with Inside Sales, Customer Success, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Sales, and Product leadership.
• Cultivate thought leaders and early adopters of the innovative infectious-disease diagnostic approach.
• Create and maintain a regional portfolio of hospital and health-system accounts.
• Prioritize and categorize accounts to optimize opportunities and growth.
• Showcase product features and advantages using consultative sales techniques, which include qualifying leads, assessing needs, supporting evaluations, and closing sales.
• Oversee initial evaluations to stimulate adoption and enhance the use of Karius test and solutions.
• Act as a subject matter expert regarding the science and technology behind the Karius test.
• Build relationships, educate stakeholders, and foster consensus among prospective and current partners.
• Illustrate ROI and maintain consistent account engagement and utilization assessments.
• Secure and renew partner contracts and agreements.
• Assist partner interactions with Clinical/Medical Affairs teams, both remotely and in person.
• Collaborate with Customer Success to onboard accounts, address risks and concerns, manage expectations, and highlight successes.
• Partner with Marketing on regional meetings, KOL panels, and local market initiatives.
• Participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and industry trade shows.
• Complete SalesForce documentation, expense reports, speaker-program information, and other administrative responsibilities.
• Report to the Regional Sales Director.
• Bachelor's degree; an advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
• 5 years of sales/business development experience in Life Sciences / Biotech, Medical Device, Diagnostic Equipment, and/or Pharmaceutical sectors.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Proven success in introducing transformative, innovative products or services to physicians and hospitals that altered clinical practice prior to significant peer-reviewed publications or guideline inclusion.
• Extensive network of relationships within hospitals and health systems, including microbiology labs, send-out labs, physician groups, C-level executives, and clinical-function administrators.
• Strong vision and planning skills necessary for expanding the territory.
• Excellent business insight, analytical abilities, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to build relationships with individuals ranging from C-level executives to physicians and lab directors, establishing credibility through subject matter expertise and industry knowledge.
• Proven history of outstanding sales performance and achieving or surpassing sales targets.
• Experience with multi-level account management.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, uncertain, growth-oriented environment.
• Willingness to collaborate with customer-facing teams and share best practices.
• Ability to prioritize, allocate resources, take responsibility, and achieve results.
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills; capable of leading engaging discussions with both small and large groups.
