Clinical Quality & Outcomes Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Assess treatment plans created by BCBAs for clinical integrity, professionalism, and adherence to organizational guidelines.

• Review session note documentation for thoroughness, precision, alignment with treatment objectives, and billing criteria.

• Execute standardized outcome measure assessments across all operational regions.

• Deliver constructive written and verbal feedback to BCBAs to foster continuous improvement and clinical development.

• Create and oversee learning trees, ensuring that goals are logically sequenced and clinically pertinent.

• Guarantee compliance with legal, ethical, clinical, BACB, and insurance payer standards.

• Administer and analyze CARS, CFQL, and Vineland assessments, incorporating results into quality reporting.

• Maintain precise, organized, and confidential documentation related to assessments and quality reviews.

• Assist clinicians in formulating individualized, measurable, outcome-oriented treatment objectives.

• Collaborate with clinical leadership to identify trends, training needs, and system-wide quality enhancement initiatives.

• Work in conjunction with clinical, RCM, and compliance departments.

• Report directly to the Manager of Clinical Quality Outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related discipline.

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing.

• At least 3 years of clinical ABA experience in a supervisory or quality-focused capacity.

• LBA in the assigned state(s) for quality oversight or a commitment to obtaining licensure; if not already licensed in the assigned state(s), must initiate/submit the licensure process within 60 days of employment.

• Familiarity with CentralReach, including learning trees, sessions, notes & form templates, and task management.

• Experience in administering and interpreting standardized assessments (CARS, CFQL, Vineland).

• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.

• Background in internal and external peer review processes aimed at ensuring clinical quality and compliance.

• Knowledge of insurance documentation standards, including treatment plan content, progress reporting, and goal justification.

• Visual and auditory capabilities to work on a computer and utilize a phone for extended periods.

• Physical ability to perform the job's requirements for extended durations, including sitting, standing, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
