Clinical Practice Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of practice management for Neko Health's professional corporation in the United States.

• Manage provider credentialing intake, including document collection and primary source verification.

• Verify state medical/nursing licenses, board certifications, educational background, work history, and DEA registrations when applicable.

• Oversee the clear-to-practice process, ensuring providers do not see members until their credential files are complete and verified.

• Maintain permitted scopes of practice by state and escalate any out-of-scope practice requests.

• Manage expirables calendars, automated alerts, renewal follow-ups, re-verification, and the removal of clearance when credentials expire.

• Select, implement, and manage tools for credentialing records, expiry tracking, onboarding workflows, and SOP version control.

• Transition from manual tracking to automated alerts, scheduled reporting, and system-driven handoffs.

• Define the data structures for credentialing and onboarding, integrating practice operations data with IT, product, and engineering systems.

• Take ownership of creating, indexing, versioning, reviewing, updating, and retiring SOPs for US practice operations.

• Transform provider onboarding plans into tracked sequences that encompass credentialing, system access, training, and clearance to begin.

• Manage onboarding timelines from the offer to the start date, coordinating with Talent Acquisition, People Team, and clinical operations.

• Ensure US practice operations align with Head of Compliance standards, conduct periodic checks, report gaps, and assist with audits.

• Maintain audit-ready credentialing records and communicate credentialing status, expirations, and blocked providers to Medical Quality.

• Prepare the function for potential payer credentialing and provider enrollment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in optimizing clinical or healthcare operations in a tech-enabled environment, including transforming manual, spreadsheet-based processes into system-driven workflows.

• Background in a clinical operations role, developing systems for credentialing, compliance, and clinical operations processes.

• Proficient in configuring and managing operational tools, working with data and reporting, and utilizing everyday automation.

• Direct, hands-on experience with state medical board licensure and clinician credentialing processes, including primary source verification.

• Experience maintaining a credentialing database or record system to meet audit-ready standards.

• Proven ability to develop, organize, and maintain SOPs in a clinical or regulated operational environment.

• Familiarity with compliance standards in healthcare or clinical operations, with experience in evaluating operations against these standards.

• Detail-oriented and persistent in administrative tasks.

• Preferred: experience in digital health, telehealth, or other tech-enabled care settings.

• Preferred: hands-on experience with credentialing or provider data platforms and workflow/tracking tools.

• Preferred: experience collaborating with product or engineering teams to specify operational tools.

• Preferred: direct experience with provider credentialing in a clinical setting in the United States, including multi-state credentialing.

• Preferred: experience with credentialing in a newly launched market or start-up clinical service.

• Preferred: experience in building an SOP program from the ground up in a growing or newly established operation.
