This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
β’ Design and uphold protocols for the prescribing, dispensing, and administration of medications.
β’ Conduct research aimed at developing or enhancing pharmaceutical treatments.
β’ Offer specialized services for patients dealing with Diabetes, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, Asthma, or Hypertension.
β’ Engage in quality improvement initiatives.
β’ Create or update pharmacy policies and procedures.
β’ Provide training and support to pharmacy personnel and interns.
β’ Stay informed about new medications, medical devices, and therapies.
β’ Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local pharmaceutical regulations.
β’ Consult with physicians regarding drug prescribing methodologies.
β’ Engage in patient interventions, referrals, risk management, and ethical decision-making processes.
β’ Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
β’ Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan, monitor, review, and assess patient treatment effectiveness.
β’ Educate patients on medications, including their side effects, interactions, and therapeutic outcomes.
β’ Review patient profiles to confirm medication safety and efficacy.
β’ Take part in patient care rounds and conduct drug therapy consultations.
β’ Report to the Manager of Pharmacy Services.
β’ Oversee professional development opportunities within the pharmacy department.
β’ Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
β’ A Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
β’ Licensure as a pharmacist in the state of practice.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of experience in a pharmacy environment.
β’ Demonstrated experience as a clinical pharmacist.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical therapy and direct patient care.
β’ Capability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and decisively.
β’ Proficient in Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for real-time collaboration.
β’ Physical requirements include standing, walking, pushing, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
β’ Ability to remain seated for extended periods.
β’ Vision and hearing must be corrected to a normal range.
β’ Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possess personal means of transportation.
β’ Proven ability to handle data with confidentiality.
β’ Ability to work collaboratively with various teams as well as independently with minimal supervision.
β’ Exceptional organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities, with a strong focus on detail.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with senior leadership, providers, and health plans.
