Clinical Pharmacist, Part B

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold protocols for the prescribing, dispensing, and administration of medications.

• Conduct research aimed at developing or enhancing pharmaceutical treatments.

• Offer specialized services for patients dealing with Diabetes, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, Asthma, or Hypertension.

• Engage in quality improvement initiatives.

• Create or update pharmacy policies and procedures.

• Provide training and support to pharmacy personnel and interns.

• Stay informed about new medications, medical devices, and therapies.

• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local pharmaceutical regulations.

• Consult with physicians regarding drug prescribing methodologies.

• Engage in patient interventions, referrals, risk management, and ethical decision-making processes.

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan, monitor, review, and assess patient treatment effectiveness.

• Educate patients on medications, including their side effects, interactions, and therapeutic outcomes.

• Review patient profiles to confirm medication safety and efficacy.

• Take part in patient care rounds and conduct drug therapy consultations.

• Report to the Manager of Pharmacy Services.

• Oversee professional development opportunities within the pharmacy department.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.

• Licensure as a pharmacist in the state of practice.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a pharmacy environment.

• Demonstrated experience as a clinical pharmacist.

• Comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical therapy and direct patient care.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities efficiently and decisively.

• Proficient in Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for real-time collaboration.

• Physical requirements include standing, walking, pushing, bending, kneeling, and reaching.

• Ability to remain seated for extended periods.

• Vision and hearing must be corrected to a normal range.

• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possess personal means of transportation.

• Proven ability to handle data with confidentiality.

• Ability to work collaboratively with various teams as well as independently with minimal supervision.

• Exceptional organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities, with a strong focus on detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with senior leadership, providers, and health plans.
