This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Create and uphold protocols for the prescription, dispensing, and administration of medications.
• Conduct research aimed at developing or enhancing pharmaceutical treatments.
• Offer specialized services for patients dealing with Diabetes, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, Asthma, or Hypertension.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the formation or revision of pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Provide training and assistance to pharmacy staff and interns.
• Stay updated with the latest information on new drugs, medical devices, and therapies.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local pharmaceutical regulations.
• Consult with physicians regarding drug prescribing practices.
• Take part in patient intervention and referral processes, risk management, and ethical decision-making.
• Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and actively contribute to patient care plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan, monitor, review, and assess patient effectiveness.
• Educate patients about their medications, including side effects, interactions, and therapeutic benefits.
• Review patient profiles to confirm medication safety and effectiveness.
• Participate in patient care rounds and carry out drug therapy consultations.
• Manage professional development opportunities within the pharmacy department.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
• Licensure as a pharmacist in the state where you practice.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a pharmacy environment.
• Demonstrated experience as a clinical pharmacist.
• Comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical therapy and direct patient care.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently and decisively.
• Proficient in Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for real-time collaboration.
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, pushing, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
• Capability to sit for extended periods.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have reliable transportation.
• Proven ability to manage data with confidentiality.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with senior leadership, providers, and health plans.
