Clinical Medical Assistant – Primary Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with clinical leadership to enhance the Virtual Primary Care patient experience.

• Assist patients throughout their Virtual Primary Care journey by providing care coordination and administrative support.

• Adhere to established clinical protocols and workflows while aiding providers in delivering evidence-based care.

• Support patient intake, documentation, care coordination, follow-up, and other clinical support tasks under provider supervision.

• Initiate interdisciplinary and cross-functional process improvements to enhance patient experience, increase utilization, and/or reduce costs.

• Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Patient Experience Agents, and Product teams to develop the Virtual Primary Care service.

• Process provider orders, coordinate referrals, schedule follow-up care, and assist patients with care plan instructions.

• Identify clinical concerns and escalate urgent issues to the appropriate RN or provider.

• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and offer feedback to enhance clinical workflows and patient experience.

• Contribute to long-term staffing models by providing insights on scheduling requirements and workflow optimization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or equivalent) is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in ambulatory care, family practice, internal medicine, or primary care is preferred.

• Experience with telehealth or virtual care is highly preferred.

• Flexibility in scheduling as needed is required.

• Proficient in using electronic health records (Athena, Epic, eClinicalWorks, Elation, etc.).

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capable of working independently in a remote setting.

• Comfortable with adapting to changing technology and workflows.
