This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +31 more states.
• Instruct 30 credit hours each year in standardized, predeveloped online graduate courses in public health.
• Implement instructional methodologies and strategies that actively engage adult learners, adhering to approved course designs, learning outcomes, and necessary instructional materials.
• Conduct outreach to learners and provide support for students requiring additional engagement or clarification.
• Participate in the academic review and evaluation of MPH Applied Practice Experiences.
• Review practicum plans, applied practice outputs, and competency documentation.
• Create opportunities for practice-based or service-learning experiences.
• Assist in identifying practice sites, practice topics, and community-engaged learning opportunities.
• Engage in program events, graduation ceremonies, professional development, and other academic activities.
• Leverage global health knowledge through case-based learning, current examples, research-informed practices, and professional experiences.
• Highlight ethical, equitable, culturally responsive, and community-informed approaches to global public health.
• Enhance student comprehension of global disease burden, health systems, ethical global partnerships, environmental and social determinants of health, health disparities, and culturally responsive public health practice.
• Possession of a doctoral degree in public health or a related field from a CEPH accredited institution, along with education and professional experience suitable for graduate-level public health instruction.
• Proven expertise in global or international public health and applied public health practices.
• A minimum of three years of professional experience in public health practice.
• At least three years of teaching experience, including a background in online or technology-mediated learning environments.
• Experience with competency-based education, curriculum evaluation, Applied Practice Experiences, Integrative Learning Experiences, internships, capstone projects, or other graduate-level public health practice-based education.
• Familiarity with CEPH accreditation processes, curriculum mapping, program assessment, or related accreditation responsibilities.
• Experience mentoring graduate students, supporting applied practice or capstone projects, or overseeing field-based public health learning.
• Experience collaborating with diverse communities, public health organizations, or cross-cultural partners.
