Clinical Educator, RN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, implement, and revise an orientation program that integrates current policies, procedures, and both basic and advanced clinical knowledge and skills for staff in the REI environment.

• Collaborate with HR to ensure the onboarding program addresses the needs of newly hired clinical staff.

• Deliver foundational REI education for new employees across various departments and advanced training for nursing clinical personnel.

• Develop, implement, and update clinical competencies for orientation, training, and educational purposes, including documentation of achievement and maintenance.

• Oversee the orientation process for new clinical staff.

• Partner with the Clinical Education Supervisor and Office Supervisor/Manager to provide ongoing education and support to newly hired clinical staff.

• Plan, prepare, and maintain educational materials that are accurate and relevant.

• Identify and assess instructional materials across different media and formats.

• Instruct content within clinical expertise for orientation, staff development, and safe practices; offer remediation as needed.

• Create continuing education opportunities for clinical staff and engage in teaching SG University courses.

• Document all training and educational activities.

• Travel to various offices as required to orient, train, educate, mentor, and evaluate staff.

• Train staff on new policies and procedures alongside Office Supervisors/Managers.

• Instruct staff on the practice’s electronic medical record systems with guidance from the Clinical Applications Specialist.

• Assess the effectiveness of educational programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• RN license is mandatory.

• A Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, education, or business management is preferred.

• A current compact state RN license without limitations is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in women’s health care, with at least 3 years as a REI nurse coordinator at Shady Grove Fertility is essential.

• Completion of the ASRM REI Nurse Certificate Course within the first year of taking this position, if not already completed.

• Current CPR certification is needed, or must be obtained within one month of employment.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills are required.

• Ability to establish professional relationships with diverse patients and their families, physicians, subordinate staff, and other members of the management team is crucial.

• Capability to resolve conflicts promptly and professionally is necessary.

• Verbal and written communication skills must be precise and concise.

• Ability to work independently while demonstrating sound judgment is required.

• Ability to function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team is needed.

• Competence to independently manage a patient caseload is essential.

• Highly organized with the ability to plan, supervise, and motivate staff.

• Proven expertise in continuous quality improvement, customer service, and team building is required.

• Familiarity with clinical procedures, program operations, computer software, and equipment is essential.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, is required.

• Willingness to travel to SGF locations as assigned is necessary.
