This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Promote and market Tandem Diabetes products and clinical services within the designated Ottawa/Kingston area.
• Strategically plan and reach sales objectives through clinical education and the adoption of insulin pump therapy.
• Identify prospective customers and nurture business relationships.
• Offer clinical and technical education to individuals with diabetes, physicians, and healthcare professionals.
• Inform customers and healthcare professionals about diabetes self-management, emergency management, community resources, products, services, trends, and outcomes.
• Organize and conduct insulin pump training sessions and diabetes education classes.
• Address and resolve customer clinical and technical challenges.
• Sustain professional relationships with healthcare professionals to bolster sales efforts.
• Formulate strategies to address clinical concerns and maintain existing relationships.
• Identify sales prospects and evaluate prospecting criteria.
• Articulate Tandem’s market position, product value, and clinical differentiation.
• Collaborate with the Territory Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Customer Technical Support Specialists, and the regional sales team.
• Assist in territory forecasting and both short- and long-term business planning.
• Provide product and service information at health fairs, conventions, promotions, trade shows, and symposia.
• Keep CRM records, company property, equipment, records, selling aids, and samples organized.
• Establish and maintain a systematic territory call cycle.
• Prepare weekly and monthly clinical sales reports.
• Participate in sales training, meetings, team calls, conventions, and corporate events.
• Adhere to corporate guidelines for expense management and submit expense reports in a timely manner.
• Complete the necessary training plan prior to taking on job responsibilities.
• RN, RD, RPH, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant job experience.
• Ongoing registration and licensure maintenance through clinical education.
• Certification as a Diabetes Educator is highly preferred.
• Continuing education related to patient education and the technical use of insulin pump therapy.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical diabetes experience in coordinating and conducting diabetes education programs.
• At least 1 year of related industry experience in diabetes or endocrinology is preferred.
• Outstanding communication skills regarding diabetes self-management, insulin pump therapy dose adjustments, blood glucose monitoring, carbohydrate counting, medication management, infusion site management, chronic complications, emergency management, and community resources.
• Ability to establish effective relationships with customers, referral sources, and healthcare professionals.
• Proven capability to serve as a clinical resource for a regional sales team.
• Demonstrated skill in coaching customers one-on-one and addressing product-related issues.
• Proficient in presenting educational materials clearly to diverse audiences.
• Capable of contributing thoroughly and promptly to team initiatives.
• Ability to respond calmly and confidently to changing situations.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving market.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet; familiarity with CRM software is preferred.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory at least 80% of the time.
• Capability to work from a remote home office.
• Valid driver's license, required auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
• Authorization to work for any employer in Canada; sponsorship is not available.
