This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Classify, code, summarize, interpret, and compute registry/case information from patient medical records.
• Ensure the precise submission of data to designated registries or measure data repositories.
• Organize and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks while adhering to tight deadlines.
• Manage expectations, identify obstacles, and propose timely solutions.
• Navigate electronic medical records and registry/case entry tools efficiently.
• Resolve technical issues related to systems and applications.
• Contribute to the development of team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and business rule documents.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Remain updated on mandated regulatory and publicly reported data requirements.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Complete up to 6 months of specialized on-the-job training through Q-Centrix Institute prior to joining a client services team.
• Direct experience in one or more of the following: emergency room care, bedside care, medical scribing and coding/billing, or quality information systems.
• Familiarity with various patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, encompassing Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to navigate search engines and multitask across different applications.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
• High standards regarding accuracy and attention to detail.
• Technically inclined with a readiness to learn new systems and technologies.
• Capability to work independently and take ownership of projects/patient records.
• Clear communication and effective collaboration with hospital partners, peers, team leads, and others.
• Excellent self-organization and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts while adapting to changing timelines, requirements, and assignments.
• High degree of responsibility in maintaining the security and confidentiality of PHI.
• Up to 6 months of on-the-job training through Q-Centrix Institute (QCI).
