This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Deliver interim MDS completion services with an emphasis on precise scheduling, completion, and submission of MDS in line with RAI Guidelines.

• Conduct SNF auditing services aimed at optimizing reimbursement accuracy, managing Case Mix, arranging Quality Measures, and reviewing MDS accuracy.

• Offer consulting services to Engage Consulting clients regarding MDS/SNF reimbursement and operational matters.

• Keep updated with clinical and regulatory knowledge in accordance with current geriatric care standards, Federal Survey Requirements, the MDS 3.0 RAI Manual, federal and state health regulations, CMS Requirements of Participation, and payer guidelines.

• Provide ethical guidance to clients concerning SNF practices.

• Support the Senior Practice Manager and Director of Clinical Consulting as needed.

• Uphold and represent Engage Consulting's mission, vision, core values, and professional image.

• Undertake special projects and other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.

• Previous regional MDS and/or multi-state experience is necessary.

• At least five years of experience in MDS completion within a SNF setting.

• AAPACN Resident Assessment Coordinator Certification (RAC-CT) is preferred.

• Intermediate understanding of SNF Reimbursement and Billing Regulations, including RAI guidelines, PDPM Reimbursement, Case Mix Management, and specific state nursing documentation standards.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, such as Point Click Care, Matrix Care, and therapy software programs.

• Capability to work remotely and independently, with occasional travel as required.

• Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion while maintaining confidentiality.
