Clinical Associate – Medical Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct high-touch telehealth consultations while supporting the clinical team.

• Identify gaps in care and facilitate member care within a fragmented healthcare landscape.

• Engage and collaborate with primary care physician (PCP) offices.

• Organize pharmacy services efficiently.

• Oversee the management of durable medical equipment, home health care, imaging, and laboratory testing requirements.

• Prepare for follow-up activities post-visit.

• Manage orders and ensure coordinated care.

• Liaise with home health partners for DME and skilled nursing services coordination.

• Manage lab testing and imaging coordination, while meticulously tracking outcomes.

• Inform members about lab results and facilitate follow-up care as directed by clinicians.

• Coordinate the collection of medical records, information gathering, appointment setup and confirmation, along with outbound communications.

• Direct clinical inquiries to the appropriate licensed professionals.

• Provide education to patients regarding their health.

• Advocate for members by addressing and returning calls related to care coordination concerns.

• Review internal program referrals and distribute welcome kits and educational resources.

⛳️ Requirements

• MA Certification is highly preferred; expired MA certifications are acceptable.

• Verification: a copy of either active or expired MA certification will be necessary.

• Uncertified candidates may qualify with substantial MA experience/background; copies of MA school diploma and transcripts may be requested.

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in patient-facing roles.

• Experience in telehealth is advantageous.

• Desired experience in care coordination, particularly assisting Medicare patients in closing care gaps and completing preventative health screenings.

• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish; proficiency in English is preferred.

• Highly organized and adaptable, capable of managing a large panel of members (100+ if required).

• Excellent communication skills with doctors, pharmacies, nurses, and caregivers.

• Comfortable interacting with members through video, phone, and online portals.

• Ability to learn electronic health records and various computer platforms, including Google Chrome, Google Sheets, AI tools, automated queues, and Advanced Dialer.

• No clinical decision-making or activities requiring licensure; clinical tasks will be performed under the supervision of licensed professionals.
