Clinical Applications Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Deliver both technical and clinical training in person and online to enhance product usage, upgrades, growth, and adoption.

• Align the clinical training requirements of the territory with the commercial business objectives by utilizing Strategic Account Management principles.

• Engage with physicians, nurses, operating room personnel, and clinical staff to boost knowledge of products and procedures.

• Ensure successful installation and adoption of equipment and software upgrades at clinical locations.

• Collaborate with Field Service and Sales Representatives for installation training and continuous surgical support.

• Record site visits in the CRM system within 48 hours.

• Address product issues and adverse events with Medical Safety, including conducting root cause analyses and gathering physician feedback.

• Work alongside FSEs, Commercial Team, Service Operations, and Clinical Team on installations, site support, troubleshooting, and calibration inquiries.

• Provide post-sales installation training and engage in customer retention and adoption initiatives.

• Assist with demonstrations at conventions, medical congresses, fellowships, conferences, exhibits, seminars, and wet-labs.

• Respond to unsolicited requests for information regarding Alcon medical devices in accordance with SOPs and compliance regulations.

• Offer feedback on product clinical performance to R&D.

• Direct inquiries concerning unapproved uses of technology to the appropriate personnel.

• Cross-train on Alcon products.

• Fulfill administrative responsibilities including expense reporting, Veeva assignments, CAS Dashboard reviews, and ensuring data integrity compliance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly relevant experience (or high school plus 10 years; Associate's plus 6 years; Master's plus 0 years).

• Proficient in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English.

• 2 years of relevant experience.

• Obtain clinical certifications to fulfill the requirements and scope of responsibilities.

• Willingness to travel 80% of the time.

• Capability to support Alcon Cataract and/or Refractive Surgical products.

• Adherence to SOPs, Ethics and Compliance Guidelines, and sanctioned communication plans.

• Proficiency in completing administrative tasks including expense reporting, Veeva assignments, CAS Dashboard reviews, and ensuring data integrity compliance.
