This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Assist in the launch and continuous growth of Ionis’s inaugural wholly owned commercial product within the designated territory.
• Engage with key customers and accounts throughout the healthcare ecosystem.
• Identify opportunities to enhance patient care and establish partnerships with patients, providers, and care networks.
• Build, maintain, and utilize local healthcare system networks and relationships.
• Develop and implement effective business plans along with customer-centric strategic account plans for the territory.
• Educate healthcare professionals and office staff regarding sHTG disease awareness, diagnostic pathways, and suitable treatment options.
• Offer value-added resources and support materials and programs for healthcare professionals and patients.
• Participate in conferences, congresses, and scientific meetings.
• Collect account insights and provide feedback to field leadership and marketing.
• Understand local referral networks and identify, validate, and document potential healthcare providers treating sHTG patients.
• Develop targeted tactics and adjust strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Take part in field meetings and training programs.
• Complete label certification, compliance training, and relevant customer engagement training.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teammates and share customer engagement insights with field teams and leadership.
• Utilize available platforms and technology to engage customers through various channels.
• Partner on accounts that involve patients seen by multiple specialties across different geographies.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Over 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
• Experience with new product launches.
• Familiarity with account-based selling.
• Experience engaging with healthcare professionals and integrated delivery networks (IDNs).
• Experience coordinating cross-functional field teams.
• Previous experience independently managing a sales territory.
• Background in cardiology, endocrinology, or other sub-specialties that treat FCS patients.
• Preference for candidates with injectable experience.
• Understanding of treating cardiometabolic and lipid-related diseases, including severe hypertriglyceridemia (sHTG).
• Established relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and major accounts.
• Ability to analyze market data and devise territory strategies.
• Proven track record of navigating complex accounts and aligning solutions with patient needs.
• Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to addressing patient needs.
• Ability to adhere to Ionis Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, along with policies, procedures, and customer engagement policies.
