This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Assist in the launch and continuous growth of Ionis’s inaugural wholly-owned commercial product as its indication transitions from Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS) to severe hypertriglyceridemia (SHTG)
• Engage with key customers and accounts, pinpoint opportunities to enhance patient care, and foster partnerships throughout the healthcare ecosystem
• Develop, sustain, and utilize local healthcare networks to formulate and implement business strategies
• Provide education to healthcare professionals and office staff regarding sHTG, diagnostic processes, and suitable treatment options
• Supply value-added resources and support materials and programs for HCPs and patients
• Participate in conferences, congresses, and scientific gatherings
• Collect market insights, profile accounts, and guide sales and marketing strategies
• Comprehend local referral networks and identify, validate, and document HCPs who treat sHTG patients
• Create and implement customer-centric territory strategic account plans
• Collaborate with endocrinologists, cardiologists, PCPs, and other relevant specialties
• Engage in field meetings and training sessions; complete label and compliance certifications
• Work with cross-functional teammates and share insights from customer engagements
• Utilize available platforms and technology to engage customers compliantly through various channels
• Partner on accounts involving patients treated by multiple specialties across different regions
• Comply with Ionis policies, procedures, and the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record in accordance with company standards
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Over 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales
• Experience with new product launches
• Proficiency in account-based selling
• Experience in engaging HCPs and IDNs
• Coordination experience with cross-functional field teams
• Previous experience managing a sales territory independently
• Background in cardiology, endocrinology, and other sub-specialties that treat FCS patients
• Knowledge of treating cardiometabolic and lipid-related conditions such as severe hypertriglyceridemia (sHTG)
• Established connections with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and major accounts
• Ability to analyze market data and formulate territory strategies
• Proven track record of navigating complex accounts and aligning solutions with patient needs
• Strong clinical knowledge and a commitment to addressing patient requirements
• Experience with injectables preferred
