
Clinical Account Executive – Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Establish and nurture strategic business relationships with oncology departments and practices.
• Engage with oncologists, hematologists, pharmacists, nurses, executives, department heads, managers, and support personnel.
• Enhance education regarding product advantages and risks in accordance with approved labeling.
• Generate new business, optimize resource utilization, and increase sales and market share by achieving the designated oncology product sales plan.
• Comprehend and fulfill customer needs.
• Cultivate relationships that yield market insights and support compliant, innovative programs and initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal and cross-franchise leaders to pinpoint, design, or modify strategies and tactics.
• Present on-label technical and scientific information utilizing approved data.
• Act as the primary US commercial liaison with targeted accounts in the specified region.
• Work alongside AbbVie and co-promotion partners, including marketing, GPO, thought leader liaison, MSL, and contracted SPP teams.
• Offer customer support, site assistance, and issue resolution for physicians and accounts.
• Develop, implement, communicate, and revise strategic and tactical business plans for targeted accounts.
• Facilitate training for physicians and treatment teams on the approved and safe use of products.
• Monitor and report on sales progress.
• Provide regular updates to both internal and external partners.
• Serve as AbbVie’s primary contact for each account.
• Address or direct customer inquiries and requests while ensuring active follow-up.
• Coordinate the timely delivery of requested account support.
• Attend and engage in local societies and HCP meetings.
• Represent AbbVie and assigned products, foster relationships, and relay key findings to internal stakeholders.
• Stay updated on clinical, market, payer, oncology, and disease-area developments.
• Complete necessary training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
• Collect and share information regarding customer and business implications.
• Transfer knowledge and integrate best practices across assigned indications and brands.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of product labeling and disease states.
• Optimize internal and external data, resources, and tools to uncover sales opportunities and program strategies.
• Participate in applicable organizational programs with Legal/OEC approval.
• Utilize available selling resources and tools to enhance selling effectiveness.
• Candidates must reside within the territory, including Nashville, Knoxville, or Chattanooga, Tennessee.
• Possess business acumen and analytical skills to evaluate diverse data sets using various tools.
• Ability to formulate account and program strategies that align with business goals.
• Capability to address customer needs in a complex environment through innovative strategies that align with company and customer objectives.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
• Demonstrated persistence and resilience with a proven history of success in challenging environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%, depending on the location of residence.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle or company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Must comply with safe driving requirements.
• Experience in oncology, specialty pharmaceuticals, or related fields is preferred.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience in account management across any industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with the healthcare industry is preferred.
• An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
• Must fulfill healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements, which may include background checks, drug screenings, and proof of immunization/vaccination.
