
Clinical Account Executive – Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Build and sustain strategic business relationships with oncology departments and practices.
• Engage with oncologists, hematologists, pharmacists, nurses, executives, department heads, managers, and support staff.
• Enhance understanding of product benefits and risks in line with the approved label.
• Generate new business, optimize resource utilization, and expand sales and market share to meet the sales objectives.
• Comprehend and address customer requirements while collecting market intelligence.
• Create compliant and innovative programs and initiatives in collaboration with internal and cross-franchise partners.
• Deliver on-label technical and scientific presentations utilizing approved data.
• Act as the primary US Commercial contact for targeted accounts.
• Work together with Brand and Strategic Marketing, GPO, Thought Leader Liaison, MSL, and contracted SPP partners.
• Provide site support and resolve customer inquiries.
• Establish, implement, communicate, and update strategic and tactical account plans.
• Conduct physician and treatment-team training on the approved and safe use of products.
• Monitor and report on sales performance.
• Serve as AbbVie’s main point of contact for each account and coordinate requested support.
• Engage in clinician boards, societies, and other HCP meetings.
• Relay key developments and findings to internal stakeholders.
• Stay informed on clinical, market, payer, oncology, and disease-area advancements.
• Complete necessary training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
• Identify sales opportunities and program strategies utilizing internal and external data, resources, and tools.
• Participate in relevant organizational programs with legal/OEC approval.
• Showcase selling resources and tools to bolster selling strategies.
• Candidates should be located within or near the New York City territory.
• A Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is also acceptable.
• Experience in oncology sales or oncology-specific clinical experience is required.
• Business acumen and analytical capability to assess diverse data sets using various tools and formulate account/program strategies.
• Ability to address customer needs in a complex environment through innovative strategies that align with company and customer objectives.
• Proven leadership abilities and capacity to lead without direct authority.
• Experience in developing teams on complex projects or challenges.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Tenacity and a strong record of achievement in challenging environments.
• Experience in account management is preferred.
• Specialty pharmacy experience is preferred.
• Background in the healthcare industry, particularly working with patients or consulting healthcare companies.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car, truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• A valid driver's license is essential.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe-driving criteria.
• Must fulfill healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements, which may encompass background checks, drug screenings, and proof of immunization/vaccination.
