
Clinical Account Executive – Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Establish and nurture strategic business connections with oncology departments and practices.
• Engage with oncologists, hematologists, pharmacists, nurses, executives, department heads, managers, and support personnel.
• Enhance awareness regarding product benefits and risks in alignment with approved labeling.
• Generate new business opportunities and optimize resource utilization.
• Increase sales and market share by achieving the sales objectives for specified oncology products and indications.
• Comprehend and respond to customer needs while collecting market intelligence.
• Cultivate relationships across accounts to benefit patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with internal and cross-franchise leaders to identify, design, and modify strategies and tactics.
• Deliver on-label technical and scientific presentations supported by approved data.
• Act as the primary US Commercial point of contact for targeted accounts within the designated geography.
• Work in partnership with Brand and Strategic Marketing, GPO, Thought Leader Liaisons, MSLs, and contracted SPPs.
• Provide site support and resolve customer issues effectively.
• Develop, implement, communicate, and revise strategic and tactical business plans for targeted accounts.
• Facilitate training for physicians and treatment teams on the approved and safe use of products.
• Monitor and report on sales performance.
• Maintain regular communication with both internal and external partners.
• Serve as AbbVie’s main contact for each account, ensuring timely customer support.
• Attend and engage in local clinician boards, societies, and meetings for healthcare professionals.
• Represent AbbVie and its products at pertinent venues and convey findings to internal stakeholders.
• Stay informed about clinical, market, payer, oncology, and disease-area advancements.
• Complete necessary training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
• Identify significant information, communicate business implications, share knowledge, and integrate best practices.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of approved product labeling and disease-state information.
• Optimize data, resources, and tools to pinpoint sales opportunities and program strategies.
• Engage in relevant organizational programs with Legal/OEC approval.
• Utilize selling resources and tools to support selling strategies and maximize effectiveness.
• Must reside within the assigned territory, specifically St. Louis, MO.
• Possess business acumen and analytical skills to evaluate diverse data sets using various tools and define account/program strategies.
• Ability to address customer needs in complex environments through innovative strategies aligned with both company and customer goals.
• Proven leadership abilities and capacity to influence without direct authority.
• Experience in successfully leading teams through complex projects or challenges.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated persistence and determination with a strong history of success in challenging settings.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle or company car/truck, as well as powered material-handling equipment.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
• Experience in oncology, specialty, or other pharmaceutical fields is preferred.
• Prior account management experience in any industry is favored.
• Specialty Pharmacy experience is a plus.
• Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly working with patients or consulting for healthcare companies, is preferred.
• Prior people management or leadership experience is advantageous.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• An MBA or other advanced degree is desirable.
• Must fulfill healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements, which may include background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization/vaccination.
