
Clinical Account Executive β Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.
β’ Cultivate and sustain strategic business relationships with oncology departments and practices.
β’ Engage with oncologists, hematologists, pharmacists, nurses, executives, department heads, managers, and support personnel.
β’ Enhance education regarding product benefits and risks in alignment with approved labeling.
β’ Generate new business opportunities, optimize resource utilization, and expand sales and market share to meet the sales objectives.
β’ Comprehend and respond to customer needs while fostering relationships that yield market intelligence.
β’ Assist in the development of compliant and innovative programs and initiatives.
β’ Collaborate with in-house and cross-franchise leaders to identify, design, and tailor strategies and tactics.
β’ Deliver technical and scientific presentations that are consistent with approved data.
β’ Act as the primary US Commercial contact for designated accounts.
β’ Work alongside Brand and Strategic Marketing, GPO, Thought Leader Liaisons, MSLs, contracted SPPs, and co-promotion partners.
β’ Provide site support and resolve customer issues.
β’ Create, implement, communicate, and refine strategic and tactical business plans for targeted accounts.
β’ Facilitate training for physicians and treatment teams on the approved and safe use of products.
β’ Monitor and report on sales performance.
β’ Maintain routine communication with both internal and external partners.
β’ Serve as AbbVieβs primary point of contact for each account and ensure timely support coordination.
β’ Participate in local clinician boards, societies, and various healthcare-provider meetings.
β’ Represent AbbVie and its assigned products, conveying key information to internal stakeholders.
β’ Stay updated on clinical, market, payer, oncology, and disease-area developments.
β’ Complete mandatory training and comply with company policies as well as OEC/Legal procedures.
β’ Identify critical information, express business implications, and share knowledge with internal partners.
β’ Maintain a solid understanding of approved product labeling and disease-state knowledge.
β’ Utilize internal and external data, resources, and tools to pinpoint sales opportunities and program strategies.
β’ Engage in relevant organizational programs with Legal/OEC approval.
β’ Leverage selling resources and tools to enhance selling strategies and maximize impact.
β’ Candidates must reside within the territory encompassing Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Southern Massachusetts.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
β’ Experience in oncology sales or oncology-specific clinical roles is required.
β’ Strong business acumen and analytical skills to evaluate diverse data sets using various tools and formulate account/program strategies.
β’ Ability to address customer needs in a complex environment through innovative strategies aligned with both company and customer goals.
β’ Proven leadership abilities and capability to lead without direct authority.
β’ Experience in successfully developing teams to tackle complex projects or challenges.
β’ Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
β’ Demonstrated persistence and resilience, with a strong history of success in demanding environments.
β’ Previous account management experience is preferred.
β’ Specialty pharmacy experience is preferred.
β’ Background in the healthcare industry, particularly working with patients or consulting healthcare organizations.
β’ Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
β’ A valid driver's license is required.
β’ Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
β’ Ability to meet healthcare industry representative credentialing standards, which may include background checks, drug screenings, and proof of immunizations/vaccinations.
