
Clinical Account Executive β Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.
β’ Establish and nurture strategic business relationships with oncology departments and practices.
β’ Engage with oncologists, hematologists, pharmacists, nurses, executives, department heads, managers, and support personnel.
β’ Enhance education regarding product benefits and risks in alignment with approved labeling.
β’ Generate new business opportunities and optimize resource utilization.
β’ Increase sales and market share by meeting the sales targets for assigned oncology products and indications.
β’ Comprehend and address customer needs effectively.
β’ Cultivate relationships that yield market intelligence and support compliant programs and initiatives.
β’ Collaborate with internal and cross-franchise leaders to identify, design, and adapt methodologies and tactics.
β’ Deliver on-label technical and scientific presentations utilizing approved data.
β’ Act as the primary US Commercial contact for targeted accounts.
β’ Work alongside Brand and Strategic Marketing, GPO, Thought Leader Liaisons, MSLs, contracted SPPs, and co-promotion partners.
β’ Offer customer support, site assistance, and resolution of customer issues.
β’ Develop, implement, communicate, and regularly update strategic and tactical business plans.
β’ Facilitate training for physicians and treatment teams on the approved and safe use of products.
β’ Monitor and report on sales performance.
β’ Maintain regular communication with internal and external partners.
β’ Serve as AbbVieβs primary point of contact for each account and coordinate requested support.
β’ Attend and engage in clinician boards, societies, and healthcare professional meetings.
β’ Represent AbbVie and assigned products while building relationships at relevant venues.
β’ Share critical information and findings with internal stakeholders.
β’ Stay updated on clinical, market, payer, oncology, and disease-area developments.
β’ Collect information and articulate its implications for AbbVie and customers.
β’ Transfer knowledge to internal partners and integrate best practices across assigned indications and brands.
β’ Maintain extensive knowledge of approved product labels and disease states.
β’ Optimize data, resources, and tools to identify sales opportunities and program strategies.
β’ Participate in pertinent local-market organizational programs with Legal/OEC approval.
β’ Utilize selling resources and tools to support strategies and maximize impact.
β’ Candidates must reside within the Connecticut, Rhode Island, or Southern Massachusetts territory.
β’ A bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is acceptable.
β’ Experience in oncology sales or oncology-specific clinical settings is required.
β’ Business acumen and analytical skills to evaluate diverse data sets using multiple tools.
β’ Capability to devise innovative strategies that cater to customer needs in complex environments.
β’ Proven leadership abilities and capacity to lead without direct authority.
β’ Experience in successfully developing teams to tackle complex projects or challenges.
β’ Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
β’ A strong history of success in a challenging environment.
β’ Preferred account management experience.
β’ Preferred specialty pharmacy experience.
β’ Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in roles involving patient interaction or consulting for healthcare companies.
β’ A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
β’ Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving standards.
β’ Capability to fulfill healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements, which may include background checks, drug screenings, and proof of immunization/vaccination.
β’ Must complete all mandatory training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
