Clinical Account Executive – Oncology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the strategic leader for the designated oncology territory.

• Create and implement a thorough territory business plan that aligns with brand strategy and the needs of local customers.

• Foster trusted relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders.

• Provide compliant and customer-centric interactions by leveraging extensive scientific and clinical knowledge.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure coordinated experiences for customers.

• Assess territory performance utilizing data, customer insights, and business analytics to enhance execution.

• Uphold integrity, compliance, and professionalism during all customer engagements.

• Complete necessary AbbVie training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.

• Continuously enhance clinical, business, and leadership skills.

• Support the brand objectives and business goals pertaining to CLL and NHL oncology products.

• Report directly to the Senior District Manager.

• Travel is expected to be around 25% of the time.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech, medical device, or diagnostics sectors.

• Strong competitive selling abilities.

• Capacity to thrive in a highly collaborative team atmosphere.

• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated persistence and resilience with a proven history of success in challenging settings.

• Access to a personal vehicle or company car/truck.

• Valid driver’s license required.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.

• Regular business travel by air or vehicle is expected.

• Experience in oncology, particularly with hematologic malignancies (preferred).

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Experience in Account Management across any industry (preferred).

• Familiarity with Specialty Pharmacy (preferred).

• Background in the healthcare industry, especially involving patient interaction or consulting for healthcare companies (preferred).

• Leadership experience or people management skills (preferred).

• An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.

• Must fulfill healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements, which may entail background checks, drug screenings, and proof of immunization/vaccination.
