This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Drive strategic business growth and collaboration opportunities with leading behavioral health clinics and the top 20 largest psychiatry practices in the designated territory.
• Engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Academic Medical Centers (AMCs) within the specified area.
• Develop comprehensive strategic plans aimed at acquiring and retaining both new and existing clients.
• Collaborate and coordinate with the VP of Sales, Regional Sales Directors (RSDs), and District Sales Managers (DSMs) to ensure the successful achievement of company goals and objectives.
• Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities between potential psychiatrists and Tempus.
• Promote and ensure compliance with new web-based molecular information tools for all clients.
• Analyze the competitive landscape and environment within assigned accounts to identify trends and provide customer insights to Tempus leadership.
• Monitor sales performance to ensure that objectives are met.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan that includes budgeting, travel, territory management, and goal-setting.
• Collaborate effectively with individuals across various departments within Tempus.
• Represent the Tempus company culture to both external and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to engage in a consultative selling approach that addresses objections and indifferences while aligning client needs with Tempus’ offerings.
• Comfortable selling at the executive level (CEO, COO, CFO).
• Strong understanding of the payor and reimbursement landscape in the molecular diagnostic sector.
• Capable of working independently, proactively communicating, managing multiple projects, and prioritizing daily tasks while meeting critical deadlines.
• In-depth knowledge of molecular diagnostics in behavioral health and the changing competitive environment.
• Ability to maintain a high level of market, customer, distribution, and product knowledge essential for achieving sales and marketing goals.
• Excellent negotiation and customer service capabilities.
• Exceptional skills in strategic sales account planning.
• Superior listening and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to handle sensitive information and uphold a high level of confidentiality.

• Must possess advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

• Ability to develop and leverage cross-functional relationships to achieve work goals and objectives.
• Advanced presentation skills and business acumen are essential.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision from, or interaction with, management.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and technical learning abilities.
• Advanced written and oral communication skills.
• Strong administrative capabilities and sophistication in managing business within complex environments.

• Willingness to travel frequently (> 50%) throughout the territory as required.
• B.S. in life sciences, biology, business, or marketing.
• 2+ years of direct account management experience in a molecular diagnostic setting with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding expectations.
• 3+ years of experience working with hospital systems, psychiatrists, large health systems, and major behavioral health clinics.
• Demonstrated measurable revenue generation at a diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or relevant biotechnology firm.
