This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as the strategic leader for AbbVie’s Multiple Myeloma business in the designated Sacramento-area territory.
• Formulate and implement a detailed territory business plan that aligns with brand strategy and addresses local customer needs.
• Establish trustworthy relationships with hematologists, oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, administrators, and key account stakeholders.
• Conduct compliant, customer-centric engagements utilizing extensive scientific and clinical knowledge.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide coordinated customer experiences.
• Assess territory performance by analyzing data, customer insights, and business analytics to enhance execution.
• Uphold integrity, compliance, and professionalism in every customer interaction.
• Fulfill mandatory AbbVie training and comply with company policies as well as OEC/Legal procedures.
• Continuously enhance clinical, business, and leadership skills.
• Enhance patient outcomes while furthering Multiple Myeloma brand objectives and business goals.
• Allocate resources effectively and work collaboratively across the oncology ecosystem to generate long-term value.
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Required experience in oncology/hematology; preference for candidates with Multiple Myeloma experience.
• Strong competitive selling abilities.

• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated persistence and resilience with a successful track record in challenging situations.
• Access to a personal vehicle or company car/truck.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Capability to pass pre-employment drug screening and fulfill safe driving requirements.
• Willingness to travel for business purposes by air or car.
• Ability to comply with healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements, which may include background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunizations/vaccinations.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience in account management is preferred.
• Background in specialty pharmacy is preferred.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
• People management or leadership experience is preferred.
• An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
