This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Lead the strategic growth and partnership initiatives with prominent behavioral health clinics and the top 20 psychiatry practices in the region.
• Engage with Key Opinion Leaders and Academic Medical Centers within the designated area.
• Develop comprehensive strategic plans aimed at acquiring and retaining both new and existing clients.
• Collaborate with the VP, Sales, RSDs, and DSMs to achieve the company's goals and objectives.
• Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities between potential psychiatrists and Tempus.
• Advocate for and enhance compliance with web-based molecular information tools for clients.
• Assess the competitive landscape and assigned account environment to identify trends and relay customer insights to Tempus leadership.
• Track sales performance to ensure that targets are achieved.
• Create and execute a thorough territory business plan that includes budgets, travel, territory management, and goal-setting.
• Collaborate effectively across various Tempus departments.
• Represent and embody the Tempus company culture to both external and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to engage in a consultative selling approach that addresses objections and aligns client needs with Tempus’ offerings.
• Comfortable selling to executive-level professionals (CEO, COO, CFO).
• Strong understanding of the payor and reimbursement landscape in the molecular diagnostic field.
• Capability to work independently, communicate proactively, manage multiple projects, prioritize daily tasks, and meet critical deadlines.
• In-depth knowledge of molecular diagnostics in behavioral health and the changing competitive environment.
• Sufficient market, customer, distribution, and product knowledge to achieve sales and marketing goals.
• Excellent negotiation and customer service abilities.
• Outstanding skills in strategic sales account planning.
• Superior listening and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage sensitive information while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
• Proven track record of successful closing throughout the sales cycle.
• Positive mindset and an understanding of organizational growth and change.
• Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Regular and effective use of Salesforce.com.
• Ability to foster and utilize cross-functional relationships.

• Ability to work efficiently with minimal guidance from a manager.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and technical learning skills.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong administrative capabilities and sophistication to navigate business in complex environments.

• Willingness to travel frequently (>50%) throughout the territory as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in life science, biology, business, or marketing.
• 2+ years of direct account management experience in a molecular diagnostic context with a history of exceeding performance expectations.
• 3+ years of experience collaborating with hospital systems, psychiatrists, large health systems, and significant behavioral health clinics.
• Proven track record of measurable revenue generation at a diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or relevant biotechnology firm.
