This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Lead the strategic growth and partnership initiatives with prominent cancer centers, clinics, and substantial oncology practices within the designated area.
• Engage with Key Opinion Leaders and Academic Medical Centers in the specified region.
• Develop strategic plans to acquire and maintain both new and existing clients.
• Optimize client-bill contracting prospects.
• Execute laboratory services agreements with billing account institutions.
• Collaborate with sales leadership and team members to achieve the company's goals and objectives.
• Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities between potential oncology clients and Tempus.
• Advocate for compliance with web-based molecular information tools for clientele.
• Assess the competitive landscape and assigned accounts, identify trends, and relay customer feedback to leadership.
• Track sales performance against established objectives.
• Create and implement a comprehensive business plan for the territory encompassing budgets, travel, territory management, and goal setting.
• Work effectively across various departments within Tempus.
• Represent the Tempus company culture to both external and internal stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in life science, biology, business, or marketing.
• MBA is preferred.
• 2-3 years of direct account management experience in a molecular diagnostic environment with a record of exceeding performance expectations.
• 3-5 years of experience with major cancer centers, clinics, oncology GPOs, large health systems, IHDNs, and substantial oncology practices.
• Proven track record of measurable revenue generation in a diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or relevant biotechnology company.
• Capability to deliver an integrated MolDx/SaaS solution utilizing Tempus’s sequencing technology.
• Proficient in consultative selling and addressing objections.
• Experience in selling at the executive level.
• Understanding of the payer and reimbursement landscape in oncology and diagnostics.
• Strong knowledge of molecular diagnostics in oncology and the competitive environment.
• Familiarity with oncology, hematology, chemotherapeutics, and targeted therapies.
• Excellent negotiation, customer service, presentation, communication, listening, and problem-solving abilities.
• Skills in strategic sales account planning.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Effective use of Salesforce.com.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Willingness to travel frequently (>50%) throughout the territory.
• Capability to work independently, manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and adhere to deadlines.
• Incentive compensation may be available.
• Restricted stock units may be offered.
