This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.
• Lead strategic initiatives for business growth and collaboration with key behavioral health clinics, leading 20 psychiatry practices, influential opinion leaders, and academic medical centers within the designated territory.
• Develop strategic plans aimed at attracting and retaining new and existing clients.
• Partner with the VP, Sales, RSDs, and DSMs to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities with potential psychiatrists and Tempus.
• Advocate for and enhance compliance with web-based molecular information tools for clients.
• Assess the competitive landscape within assigned accounts and relay customer insights to Tempus leadership.
• Track sales performance to ensure that objectives are achieved.
• Create and execute a comprehensive territory business plan that encompasses budgets, travel, territory management, and goal setting.
• Collaborate effectively across various departments within Tempus.
• Represent Tempus's company culture to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in life science, biology, business, or marketing.
• Over 2 years of direct account management experience within a molecular diagnostic environment, demonstrating a history of achieving and surpassing performance expectations.
• More than 3 years of experience engaging with hospital systems, psychiatrists, large health systems, and significant behavioral health clinics.
• Proven track record of measurable revenue generation at a diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or relevant biotechnology company.
• Proficient in consultative selling techniques and skilled at overcoming objections.
• Comfortable with executive-level selling (CEO, COO, CFO).
• Comprehensive understanding of the payor and reimbursement landscape in the molecular diagnostic sector.
• Strong knowledge of molecular diagnostics in behavioral health and the shifting competitive environment.
• Excellent negotiation and customer service capabilities.
• Strong skills in strategic sales account planning.
• Exceptional listening and problem-solving abilities.
• Capacity to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Consistent ability to close sales throughout the sales cycle.
• Outstanding oral, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Regularly utilize Salesforce.com effectively.
• Advanced presentation skills and strong business acumen.
• Strong administrative capabilities and the sophistication to operate within complex business environments.
• Willingness to travel frequently (>50%) within the territory as needed.
• Incentive compensation may be provided.
