This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Establish and nurture customer relationships through various communication channels such as phone and email.
β’ Develop and adjust patient orders and demographics in accordance with intricate ordering procedures, processes, and policies.
β’ Manage requests for test information, specimen requirements, supplies, and fees by prioritizing, researching, and responding effectively.
β’ Deliver exceptional customer service that is positive, professional, empathetic, and outstanding.
β’ Apply judgment to complex job responsibilities and requirements to effectively assist patients, customers, and ARUP.
β’ Guarantee precise, timely execution and comprehensive documentation of cases along with appropriate follow-through.
β’ Offer education, guidance, and solutions concerning available resources, information, and application utility.
β’ Utilize various ARUP systems to investigate and resolve customer inquiries.
β’ Act as a bridge between ARUP customers and technical departments.
β’ Occasionally relocate between work locations and within the office to access file cabinets and office equipment.
β’ Execute additional duties as assigned.
β’ High School Diploma or equivalent, or higher.
β’ Capability to type at least 35 WPM and possess 10-key skills.
β’ Fundamental computer skills, including proficiency in internet usage and the ability to navigate computer and phone systems effectively.
β’ For remote workers: internet download speed of 75 Mbps and upload speed of 50 Mbps, or the ability to obtain these speeds before the start date.
β’ Compliance with ARUP Policies and Procedures is mandatory.
β’ Use of personal protective equipment in line with CDC, OSHA regulations, and company policies in a biohazard laboratory setting is required.
β’ Preferred qualifications include college-level coursework in medical terminology, biology, communications, or related life sciences.
β’ Preferred: General experience in a medical laboratory setting.
β’ Preferred: A minimum of one year of experience in customer service.
β’ Preferred: Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS).
β’ Preferred: Intermediate computer skills, including internet proficiency.
β’ Preferred: Knowledge or training in HIPAA regulations.
