This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Act as the primary contact for established big and elite advisor plan clients along with their financial advisors.
• Oversee relationships for plan accounts and financial advisors.
• Offer consultative guidance and support as a dedicated resource.
• Implement coordinated strategies that benefit plan clients and financial professionals.
• Foster plan retention through ownership, troubleshooting, and effective problem resolution.
• Safeguard, secure, and handle confidential information pertaining to Ascensus and clients appropriately.
• Exhibit a proactive client-oriented approach and teamwork consistent with Ascensus values.
• Utilize industry expertise to enhance client satisfaction, retention, and organic growth.
• Build relationships with daily client contacts and C-level decision-makers.
• Take ownership of resolving issues raised by clients and financial professionals.
• Collaborate with internal departments as a client and financial professional advocate.
• Assess the current book of business and devise retention strategies for non-elite advisors.
• Formulate educational and communication strategies.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and educate financial professionals and plan sponsors about products, processes, and services.
• Gather data, monitor communications and escalations, and enhance plan design and product adoption.
• Lead or engage in projects that add value to existing relationships.
• Analyze data from clients and financial professionals and conduct outreach activities, such as call campaigns.
• Maintain expertise in partner and proprietary Ascensus products.
• Stay proficient in regulatory, financial, accounting, service, operations, and compliance aspects of relationship management.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in the retirement services industry or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of previous experience with direct client or client-equivalent relationships within a financial services administrative setting.
• Certification or progress towards certification (ASPPA, CEBS, etc.) in industry-related studies is preferred.
• Capability to work independently while contributing to a highly cohesive team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work with a significant degree of independence.
• Detail-oriented with the capacity to produce high-quality work within tight deadlines.
• Ability to make sound business decisions while balancing client needs and organizational priorities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience with group presentations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Capability to coordinate and facilitate meetings attended by senior-level personnel.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
