This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
β’ Supervise the coordination of multidisciplinary design efforts and offer technical guidance to project teams involved in freight rail, transload, terminal, and industrial infrastructure initiatives.
β’ Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategic goals, capital investment priorities, permitting obligations, and project advancement.
β’ Serve as the main point of contact for clients during project execution.
β’ Organize and facilitate both formal and informal interactions with customers, municipalities, regulators, contractors, and engineering collaborators.
β’ Lead client meetings, address inquiries, and engage in collaboration throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility and site selection to commissioning and asset management.
β’ Drive strategic initiatives, formulate effective delivery strategies and fee estimates, and establish beneficial delivery methodologies.
β’ Oversee financial and project management controls across multiple concurrent capital and operating initiatives.
β’ Manage the acquisition, allocation, and optimization of multidisciplinary project resources, including consultants, contractors, equipment suppliers, and professional service partners.
β’ Ensure timely technical and commercial service delivery while conducting reviews to surpass client expectations.
β’ Apply best practices in design delivery, encompassing risk and change management, project setup, planning, procurement strategy, and governance.
β’ A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution.
β’ A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with a preference for 25+ years, including leadership in the development and execution of intermodal, transload, freight logistics, and industrial facility projects.
β’ Prior experience with Class I Railroad projects and Freight Rail Facilities, covering freight terminal development, railcar fleet engineering, track maintenance, FRA inspection programs, switching operations, and rail yard safety technologies.
β’ Proven experience managing multimillion-dollar capital and operational budgets, multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, procurement activities, and multiple concurrent capital projects.
β’ Familiarity with the AREMA Manual and applicable agency and industry standards.
β’ A PE License is preferred.
β’ Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, OpenRail, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software is preferred.
β’ Experience supporting industrial, chemical, energy, environmental, and hazardous materials transportation sectors through rail infrastructure planning, engineering, permitting, construction, and lifecycle asset management is preferred.
β’ Willingness to travel, including overnight stays.
